Anja blumberg - alnovat ambassador
_“Hello I’m Anja, 54 years old and from Cologne. I had my first encounter with psoriasis at the end of
2016 in connection with chemotherapy for triple negative breast cancer. Three small, isolated areas on my legs, which hardly caused me any problems, really. In December 2019, I woke up one morning and my legs, arms, and hands were covered. Then I found a Facebook group, and there was a post about Alnovat and a long-term test. Alnovat has helped me a lot since then and I would like to give other sufferers some little tips and the confidence to deal with their psoriasis.”
HOW DID YOU FIRST COME INTO CONTACT WITH ALNOVAT?
I first came into “contact” with Alnovat
on Facebook. To be specific, on Facebook I went to the
page of the company Farbenhaut and then
I was able to participate in a long-term test of Alnovat cream. I regularly
answered questionnaires as part of the test and when I
changed the area being treated, there were visible results very
quickly in the new area.
WHAT OTHER TREATMENT OPTIONS HAVE YOU ALREADY TRIED?
I have previously tried everything that was floating around in various
self-help groups on the internet. Naturally, also
various products that my doctor prescribed for me.
HOW AND WHEN DOES YOUR PSORIASIS AFFECT YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE?
When my hands and feet were so bad, it actually
limited me in everything. Feet in bandages for weeks. Wearing shoes
became impossible. Hands so badly cracked all over. Everything
very painful. And then losing all my fingernails. Not to forget
- the itching.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BEST EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PSORIASIS?
My best experience was when I could finally see and feel
changes on my hands and feet.
WHAT TIP CAN YOU GIVE OTHER PSORIASIS SUFFERERS IF THEY
ARE GOING THROUGH A DIFFICULT/STRESSFUL TIME (E.G. DUE TO A
SEVERE FLARE-UP)?
The only tip I can give other sufferers is to always have allergy
tablets at home and to take them before doing to bed at night,
so that you can at least have a break from the itchiness at night and
get some sleep.
HOW DO YOU CARE FOR YOUR SKIN AND PSORIASIS?
I care for my skin by alternating between Salt House body lotion,
hand cream, and urea products. Vaseline as well. And of course
Alnovat again and again.
But that’s only on my hands and feet, to keeps things as they are at the moment. That’s to say, almost free of symptoms.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE FOR IN THE FUTURE WITH YOUR PSORIASIS?
I hope that in the future it stays the same as it is now and that my fingernails all grow back healthy.
